Biography

Ward is a Senior Full Stack Engineer working for LinkTrust Systems. His work includes regular use of the .NET libraries (both old and new) with a strong preference for the newer, cross-platform editions of .NET. On his spare time, he maintains numerous self hosted sites and projects, some of which are built himself (almost all for personal use).

He started coding by teaching himself how to program his graphing calculator in junior high, and with the help of many teachers and mentors has progressed since then. He sees software development as a lifestyle rather than just work and loves to spend his free time learning how to be better.

Responsibilities include:

Focus my development time on high-complexity projects when necessary, but be available for any tasks that require my help.
Mentor other team members and assist in removing blockers related to development. This includes occasional CI/CD deployment debugging, applying an in-depth understanding of our business use cases and collaborating with team members.
Work on a rewrite of one of our main solutions using .Net 8 and MSSQL. This includes an overhaul of our reporting engine as well as a complete redo of the frontend.

Mid Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Worked on and established the base architecture and conventions for a new internal reporting tool. Built on .Net 7, MySQL and Blazor.
Worked with superiors and other team members in clarifying vague instructions and designed a reporting attribution method necessary to the business.
